Throw the Grindstone at your Boss
Most people I know get up every day and then spend the majority of every day at their job. Most of those people hate it. Now, I'm all for those few that actually love their job, but in most cases you daydream of telling your boss you just won't be back because your dream is to work for yourself in your own, home-based business. (In most cases, you can do it that way although most people just want to tell their boss to shove it. Think about this, leaving on good terms may bring you business from this boss on down the road).
That's great for anyone that either has a lot of money to start on or doesn't have regular monthly bills. But, if you are fortunate enough to be able to throw the groverbial grindstone at the boss, get ready to really do some work.
You have an idea, research, research and then research some more. Is this idea marketably viable? T
hink of all the time and energy you'll have to put into this new work, and then ask yourself, do you really have enough personal interest in this to stick with it a year, ten or even twenty?
Next, have a plan. Y0u are more likely to succeed in your venture if you have a well documented plan to follow.
Be sure that you can secure funds for the necessary equipment, advertising and any inventory that you will require. Also, you'll need money for your own salary and operating costs.
Now get out and market your business. Paying for advertising isn't the end of your part. Tell everyone you know, and lots of people that you don't. Make every trip to the grocery store or dentist office a place to discuss and describe your business. Don't let anyone you speak to or pass by be able to say that they haven't heard of your business. Every day hundreds of home-based business' fail because they were never heard of.
