How to decide what products to sell through dropshipper
How much in demand is the product: Have you ever seen those items that come around every so often that are the must have items. In most cases when you have these types of products it means that there is a large demand for them with limited supply. This means that you can be able to sell this product over and over again online making a fortune. To be successful online means that you must have access to these products and be able to quickly post the item to maximize your profits.
What are others selling the product for: Once you have spotted those in demand products you next want to see what others are selling them for. This can be done by visiting the different retailers on EBay to see what the general price range it is being sold for. Once you know this information then you would want to try to keep your price towards the low end of the range to entice people to buy from you versus the other retailers.
Consider seasonal factors: When you are selling anything online you want to be able to sell those items that are in demand for a particular season such as summer and holidays like Christmas. As a general rule you want to start promoting those products for upcoming holidays and seasons at least three months prior.
Sell the higher priced items: There are many people who make a nice living selling those lower priced items online. Find out how many people are selling the product: A good way to determine the supply and demand of product is to see how many people are selling the product on EBay and at other ecommerce sites. If you see only a few that are selling the product that is in high demand then this is an ideal opportunity to sell that product and make a nice profit at the same time.
Watch EBay's hot category: Another good way to see which products are in demand is to look at EBay hot category on a regular basis. This will tell you what products are in demand and also let you visit those retailers to see what they are selling that product for. As Jim Griff dean of EBay education said, "EBay attempts to provide as much information as possible to help people spot trends. Its Seller Central gives out a very comprehensive guide for new sellers to start their eBay business. You can find the hot items by category there."
Consider using EBay Market Place Research: For a small fee you can have access to EBay Market Place Research. This will tell you what has been selling on EBay over the last 90 days, it includes an average start price, sold prices and the top keyword searches. This will help you know what is selling by looking at the keywords and will tell you how you should be selling your product.
When you are starting out the best way to sell your product online is to sell those that you are experienced with. Over time once you learn the ropes you want to start selling those items that you might not be as experienced with. What this will do is increase your overall profits by allowing you to sell even more items once you know how everything works.
Clearly you can be able to make great profits selling products online. However, to be successful requires that you consider a number of factors such as: how much in demand is the product, what are others selling the product for, seasonal factors, selling the higher priced items, finding out how many people are selling the product, watching EBay's hot category, using EBay Market Place Research and selling items that you are not experienced with will help you be successful right away, increasing your overall profits.
